What are bamboo‑fiber integrated wall panels?
As the name suggests, they are made from bamboo and wood fibers as raw materials, mixed with polymer waterproof and fire‑resistant materials, and pressed with crystal stone powder at high temperature. They are a new type of wall decoration material, evolved from suspended ceiling panels. With the same splicing and installation methods as ceiling panels, they greatly simplify the wall decoration process. From bare wall to finished product in one step – convenient, fast, environmentally friendly, and efficient.
In the industry, they are also known as wood‑plastic composites (WPC). They come in two types: porous bamboo‑fiber wall panels and solid bamboo‑fiber wall panels. Porous panels offer sound insulation, noise reduction, and cost‑effectiveness.
Advantages of bamboo‑fiber integrated wall panels
1. Easy installation
Bamboo‑fiber integrated wall panels are simple and convenient to install – ready for use immediately after installation. They also have excellent flame‑retardant and anti‑aging properties, making them a modern, green home furnishing choice.
2. Thermal insulation and heat preservation
The indoor temperature difference between a room with integrated wall panels and a normal room is 7°C, and 10°C compared to painted walls. The unique thermal insulation performance of integrated wall panels solves the problem of direct sunlight on top floors, achieving significant energy savings.
3. Easy to clean and deformation‑resistant
The surface of bamboo‑fiber integrated wall panels can be directly wiped with a cloth, completely solving the problem of difficult cleaning in decorative materials.
4. Waterproof, moisture‑proof, and fire‑resistant
Worry no more about wall stains or water leakage caused by pipe leakage or rainy weather. The fire resistance rating reaches Class B1, which basically meets engineering fire protection requirements.
5. Resource‑saving and environmentally friendly
Bamboo‑fiber integrated wall panels are manufactured through an extrusion process. Colors, dimensions, and sizes can be strictly controlled according to customer needs, reducing material costs and saving resources. At the same time, bamboo‑fiber integrated wall panels have excellent environmental performance. They are recyclable, have low formaldehyde content, and are free of pollution. They also have good sound absorption, allowing immediate occupancy after decoration.
When choosing bamboo‑fiber integrated wall panels for a feature wall, a lamination process is required to apply the decorative film onto the panel surface before installation and use. The cost and quality of the lamination process, from low to high, are: cold‑glue online laminating < cold‑glue offline laminating < PUR hot‑melt adhesive laminating. Therefore, equipment using PUR hot‑melt adhesive for lamination is the best choice for bamboo‑fiber integrated wall panels.
As a manufacturer of PUR hot‑melt adhesive laminating processes, Colourful provides professional equipment.
